Whangarei Pickleball Club (WPC): Your home for Pickleball

The Whangarei Pickleball Club (WPC) was formed in 2025 with a clear mission: to create a dedicated "home" for pickleball enthusiasts across the Whangarei region.

WPC operates in close conjunction with the Whangarei Badminton Club (WBC). You'll find us at 19 Toetoe Road, Otaika, Whangarei, a shared venue where indoor bowls are also played.

Our Facilities

We pride ourselves on offering excellent facilities for our members:

• Courts: Our four wooden courts are brightly lit with modern LED lighting, ensuring great visibility during play.

• Nets: We use pickleball-approved nets with white mesh, making them easy to see against the court.

• Court Markings: All courts feature standard badminton lines, with the non-volley zone clearly marked by a dotted line.

• Lounge Area: Overlooking the courts, our large lounge offers comfortable chairs where you can relax and socialize. There's also a table tennis table for your enjoyment.

• Amenities: We provide full toilet and shower facilities, along with comprehensive kitchen facilities available for use when needed.

Membership & Court Etiquette

Membership Management: The Whangarei Badminton Club (WBC) utilises HelloClub to manage all membership and court booking details. Please have a look at the Membership tab on our website to figure out which type of membership is most suitable for you.

Court Care: To ensure our facilities remain in top condition for everyone, players must ensure the courts are returned to their original state after play, and the entire area is left clean and tidy. This includes reconnecting badminton nets on their posts and reinstating badminton posts if they were removed.
